Le Concierge plot
Christophe Merignac now has his diploma but cannot find a job. He eventually accepts a job as a janitor, because then he gets a furnished room for free. Then Fabienne moves into the apartment he watches over. She is young, pretty, charming and wealthy, and has an influential father.
