Ge-ni-aal.

I thought this afternoon; let me finally put on that Meet the Feebles, I've had that too. Well, I was expecting a funny movie, but this!

What a humor, what a creativity, damn! Peter Jackson surprisingly makes one of his best films with one of his 1st films. Of course he made 'The Lovely Bones' and those three films about that ring, but this was also really enjoyable.

Those characters! One even funnier and more brilliant than the other. One looks even more witty than his ''neighbour'' (as far as we can speak of that) and Jackson really conjures up a very creative whole in this area as well; that elephant-chicken alone. The atmosphere! Those messy rooms and corridors, that stage with that hall, Vietnam - actually the entire creation of images that we are presented with.

Yes, brilliant. The 'Deer Hunter' scene is also hilarious, as is the whole movie, some quotes or dialogue are funnier than others and I'm sure I missed enough as I (unfortunately) don't have subtitles had. Jackson often made me look surprised and constantly with a wide grin; that porn basement, that shit fly, the coke deal, the golf scene, etc. And at the end all brakes are released. That 'Hippo' blowing everything and everyone upside down, hilarious! That rabbit has just received the good news that he just has the flu instead of AIDS, he is already cheering terribly blown upside down. Brilliant! Really enjoyed this absurd, ingeniously insane movie. The time flew by ultra-fast. Perfect playing time by the way.

Smoking, drug-using, boozing, swearing dolls. I can imagine that people think this is terrible. But... I'm going to see this more often, with a chance of an increase!

revised. Remains a crazy affair, a kind of Muppets Go To Hell, but strangely enough it works. The puppets are as simplistic as can be, but the great voice cast manages to create unique characters. Many jokes work, some don't, but the pace is good and the rapidly escalating events make for a raunchy but fascinating viewing experience. It all ends in a wonderfully explosive finale, in which nothing or no one is spared. Peter Jackson also goes all out in his second film as a director.

Wonderfully absurd comedy, this Meet the Feebles. The comparison with The Muppets is of course logical, although this is of course an R-rated variant. With great characters, lots of fun characters (that fly is a boss) and I never knew dolls could look as nasty as Trevor the Rat or that drug-addicted frog. Not every joke succeeds, and the middle part also collapses a bit when you get used to it and the finale hasn't fully erupted yet, but everything goes off at an emergency pace and you therefore rarely get bored. The film is also quite raunchy, which is quite an achievement for a film with only puppets. The early work of Peter Jackson continues to please me.
