I also have the feeling of 'glad they are still made'. It's not all that good and Scream-like slashers have been buried deep for a while, but it still leaves you wanting more. Somewhat surprised that DiBlasi is behind this. With Last Shift he went more in the direction of a serious genre director, but with this MTV slasher he hardly seems to take the (sub)genre seriously. If you bring in Perez Hilton (wtf..), Jake Busey (....) and Heather Morris (Glee main), then your audience is clear. Not really necessarily for horror fans. More for teenagers who want to watch a horror movie every now and then for fun and see some familiar names/heads.

Killer is cool by the way, although I only count one cool kill. Nevertheless, it is worth it because of the traditional (now über cheesy) whothefuckdunnit plot, although I foresee a lot of irritation mainly because of the ''acting''.

The first part seems reasonable and has its slasher moments, but what comes afterwards in terms of twists still creates a negative view of the film. Chaotic, illogical and a very lame final scene. 3/10

Director Anthony DiBlasi seems to do his best when he is also allowed to co-write his projects. As soon as he is not included in this, it delivers a film that is not exactly leading in terms of its quality(s). Most Likely to Die is a slasher in its purest form, with almost all the ingredients needed to get things going. However, the most creative additions are revealed (and then forgotten) during the opening, where a game is played with the victim. The event that follows can be called rather classic and it is very striking that the characters themselves have little say. The makers each give their own caricature and that is all they get, which mainly results in very boring cattle for slaughter. The killer himself is nicely decorated, but radiates little threat. It seems awkward to me to walk around with such a suit, but for the sake of appearance it can be done. DiBlasi delivers some graphic murders, but once the dubious revelation is made the film falls into mediocrity and simply makes no sense anymore. Moreover, it is especially remarkable that not much of DiBlasi's visual qualities remains in Most Likely to Die.
