The Spreading Ground plot

Burman City is rocked by a number of murders. Five infant bodies are found in the water in one day. Mayor Hackett does everything in his power to guarantee safety and entrusts Detective Delongpre with the case. However, when he finds no trace, the mayor makes a deal with the corrupt Captain Nieman. As chief of police, the latter approaches the local gangster gangs and orders them to track down the killer as quickly as possible. From then on, a race against time starts from two corners, because Delongpre does not sit still either...
