What an honor! I get to be the first to post a comment on this masterpiece, which only cost me 5 euros.

"Naked for the Devil" starts off excitingly, a horror cliché: a man gets into a car accident and goes to a sinister castle to ask for help. Once inside, pussies and dicks suddenly splatter across the screen. Large wads of 70s tobacco fill the screen, making it a pleasant diversion. And all in the name of the devil.

Unfortunately, the film can't maintain its high quality, and the cats get a bit bored rather quickly. Aside from a hilarious scene involving a sexually perverted giant spider, the story doesn't really move forward. Lots of silly grins, hardly any tension, and meaningless dialogue make the film a real torture.

A tasteless video like this is funny every now and then. For the nudity: 1*.

It was a bit odd when James Harris started exploring different rooms in the castle. Man, oh man...at one point it looked like he was watching a porn movie.

Of course, you could have expected erotic scenes given the title and cover of the film.

But this was quite surprising. Now, Rita Calderoni is certainly good, but it's a lot of the same old, and unfortunately, it's not presented with much taste. The sexual chemistry is simply nonexistent, and the large, 70s-style bushes don't help matters either. One exception: the scene where Calderoni is washing in the bathtub is noteworthy. Back to the story.

Yet, the beginning is decent, and you'd never have imagined what happens once you're inside the castle. You also wonder why the film is labeled horror. You often watch in disbelief. A prime example is the incredibly ridiculous scene with the giant spider. What a hilarious low point! But this scene, combined with the nonsensical story, the numerous nudities, and the stupid double roles, makes for a truly insanely idiotic film. Truly a film for the evening of bad taste. Yet, the film still manages to entertain every now and then, however awful that may sound. 2/10

A curious little film from the gutters of Italian cinema. There's not much plot to be found, but it doesn't really revolve around anything. Like Lucio Fulci's later work, the script has the logic of a nightmare. The narrative is a series of anecdotal events, though later on, things seem to become clearer for the leads, Rita Calderoni and Stelio Candelli.

The original film was cut at the behest of the Italian censorship board – they criticized the lesbian scenes, among other things, and these had to be reduced. The version I saw, however, is a later cut in which they added several pornographic scenes on top of the original movie's gentle eroticism. It's clear that these scenes don't fit the film's atmosphere, with the different use of color and, of course, the use of body doubles. It slows the film down and creates unnecessary distraction – but that was the way it was done at the time to maximize profits when such films were released.

What I find particularly strong about the original film—without the pornographic elements—is the gothic setting, the creative use of the camera, and especially the experimental score by Alberto Baldan Bembo. The acting is not bad at all. And with Rita Calderoni, we have an actress the camera is smitten with. The scene with the giant spider is, of course, camp and hilarious, and only adds to the nightmare and the viewing pleasure.

My score applies to the film without the porn inserts.
