Invasion of the Stock Footage might have been a better title.

Commie paranoia taken to the next level; the Russians (though never named) actually attack, and while one atomic bomb after another falls (which surprisingly cause few casualties, but oh well), we follow the café patrons as they all go their separate ways (and remain remarkably calm).

Remarkable defeatism among the group; there's no Chuck Norris among them, until the end reveals that—oh great—it was all a dream. Ugh, what a cheap and annoying twist.

The best scene is when Russian soldiers disguised as Americans arrive at a security post. Our Yank doesn't trust the situation:

So you are from Illinois?
- Yess Yess Illinois. Chicago.
What do you think of the Cubs?
- Cubs... is... small... animal?
Get them!

Or something like that. Well, moral of the story: build more tanks, fewer tractors.

1.5*.

A curious bit of propaganda. At one point, a lot of stock footage was misused and it became far too boring, even though the premise still seemed promising. The scene towards the end with those drunk Russians was particularly funny, though :'). The ending, by the way, is a huge letdown and too easy. A 1.5* rating is a pretty good rating for this film.

A laughable piece of war propaganda with lots of cut and paste footage of actual war scenes and a ridiculous plot.
