Truck driver Phil meets a young blonde who challenges him to a car race. Unfortunately, he loses the race and has to hand over his driver's license to Frank Wooster, who offers him a job as a singer in his nightclub. After a while, Phil discovers that there are a lot of unsavory dealings going on in the club and decides to do something about it.
