Blazen tot Honderd plot
Blowing to a hundred follows the mourning process of 12-year-old Maurits for the death of his mother for four seasons. His deeply distressed father, a restorer of paintings, is unable to offer comfort. Maurits denies his mother's death and retreats to the floodplain of the river. There he meets Monique. During their voyages of discovery through the vast landscape, their fledgling friendship turns into infatuation. But Maurits' anger and sadness sometimes turn into extreme emotions, which scares Moniek off. A dead dog makes all the stops and Moniek never wants to see him again. Feature film by director/screenwriter Peter van Wijk is a psychological drama based on a novella by Geert van Beek.
