Op Afbetaling plot

1950, a medium-sized Dutch provincial town. When he returns home, the young lawyer Hendrik Grond catches his beautiful wife Olga with a lover. To his horror, the man is his older colleague Piet Grewestein. He decides to carry out his revenge in steps. What he does not know, however, is that Olga was more or less surprised by Grewestein's visit that afternoon. Olga confesses the incident to family friend Kyrnie Woudema, a frivolous artist of life.
