The Eagle and the Hawk plot
"One a dauntless flyer, the other a relentless killer!"
Three Americans voluntarily join the British Royal Air Force in World War I. Young is soon sobered by the realities of war and can't handle it emotionally. His buddy Crocker tries to help him by taking him to London on leave. Young meets a beautiful girl with whom he can share his problems and with whom he develops a relationship. Tormented by memories of his fallen comrades and of the men he himself killed in battle, it eventually becomes too much for Young.
