"His wife just left him for another man. And so did his boyfriend."

Ben Butley is a bitter middle-aged professor who hates everything and everyone and especially himself. His life turns into a mess one day when, at the same time, his wife leaves him, his boyfriend with whom he has a homosexual relationship cheats on him and his most hated colleague suddenly succeeds.
