Found the DVD in the RAM tray. Watched. Jeez Louise, what a bad movie. In the sense of an adolescent nonsense scenario and premise. The roaring Panoz GTRs as Leader cars were nice, and the actors were clearly chosen for their also wooden comic character. The English dubbing made the 2D even fatter. This is a film where you can skip right through to the highlights and have a good grasp of what it is about. Could serve as a textbook example at many film academy how not to make a film. Comics are difficult to transfer to the silver screen. It is a medium in itself. I also really didn't like Tintin by Spielberg. If you want to see a racing movie, play Le Mans with Steve McQueen. By the way... if there are a few comic strips that do lend themselves well to film adaptation (apart from the characters, for instance), because they are practically storyboards, then it is... (drum roll)... Buck Danny. Specifically, "NC-22654 has stopped responding". And Blake & Mortimer, most notably "The Yellow Sign".

I actually didn't know anything about the comic series, but I was able to buy this DVD for a bargain, so I gave it a try. It wasn't a bad movie, but it wasn't a WAW movie either. Excellent popcorn entertainment and fun races, but don't expect a lot of depth.

Fortunately, the film was not boring and otherwise the film looked fine.

The cast wasn't bad, but it wasn't wow either.

Wow, a great movie to keep you busy for an hour and a half.
