Nice special movie.

A kind of feel-bad film, one that encourages the thought 'it will happen to you'. And yet that is not as unusual as we might think - the film does show a somewhat absurdly rambunctious version, but the slightly milder version is of course the order of the day.

Despite the fact that an important part of the film is set in a semi-dark house, it never feels static or boring. Very funny creative use of the interaction between the image of the video and the viewer. Nicely done in that regard. The introduction itself is quite long and perhaps a bit boring, but it is necessary to establish Steve's recognizability as a fairly normal breadwinner. In an average cinema very recognizable for half the audience, you would almost think. And now the other half...

Pretty well played too - both by husband and wife, and the neighbor also plays a nice role.

Pooh, how I've cursed Alexandra along the way through this movie. What a $&#($#%. That does indicate that I was well taken into the film, so that may be a big plus. I felt almost 1 on 1 with the emotions/behaviours of Steve, who seemed very realistic to me, it's great to make a film so intense with so little dynamics (one setting).
Of course you gradually wonder, why didn't that woman just open her mouth, just talk to your husband. It could be some kind of plothole, although that bit is covered up by her saying "he always talks about it". The empathy goes to the man, because many of the woman's arguments are not very credible (Steve doesn't seem like such a bad guy, with plenty of love for both children and wife) and so you mainly tend to that it is "a crazy bitch who wants to make her points rather exaggeratedly clear. That Steve at the last steps into the neighbor's ceiling is a bit crazy.
I didn't necessarily enjoy this film, thanks to the growing hatred towards Alexandra, but that just shows that it really sticks. Above average good/intense, despite the slowness and low budget.

Despite quite gloomy and dark atmosphere, just a bit too slow for me. I explicitly thought this was anything but.
