Finally a movie about the fact that all vegetarians and hippies are actually troll-witch-goblin-creatures-I-know-man who can turn into people and eat anyone or whatever the fuck it was about. Pretty intense. 3*

I saw the documentary about this film for a while, now the film itself. It's hard to say what exactly is the best order. Thanks to the documentary, certain moments in the film receive a little more context, but on the other hand, the documentary also lacks some effect if you have not seen the film first (recognizability of characters and so on).
Anyway, the ex-worst movie of all time. It is clear that there is a lot wrong with this film. The effects are super crap, the acting is substandard (that mother is really a psycho), the story is ridiculous and above all childish. The fact that the director meant it seriously does not make it any better, nor does the fact that one of the villagers was really mentally 100% not add value to the film.
But let's be honest, there are tons of bad horror movies out there and this movie has quite a bit of competition in that category. The fact that the film has been rated as the worst probably has to do with the fact that Troll 2 is not a sequel to Troll (also nothing to do with that film) and it is not even about trolls. Recipe for cult of course.
Oh well, it is occasionally a bit of children's theatre, especially the goblins' suits and the role of the druid, but that plastic incompetence somehow makes it still somewhat watchable. In any case, the 90 minutes of Troll 2 passed a lot faster than the 180 minutes of Fanny och Alexander. Status is rather exaggerated in my opinion, the right film at the right time, but it is certainly bad.

After seeing the great documentary Best Worst Movie, you obviously owe it to yourself to watch this masterpiece of bad taste. Because that's what it is. The movie is so dramatically bad that it's actually quite entertaining. A bit like the first Troll, which this film has absolutely nothing to do with, but even stranger. It is all so amateurish and silly that you continue to watch with fascination. That's nice. Bizarre shit!
