The first film that Roger Corman produced independently is terribly boring and poorly acted. While on a beach vacation in Mexico, Julie [Anne Kimbell] hears several stories from local residents who claim to have seen a sea monster. During a swim in the sea, she meets scientist Steve [Stuart Wade] who is doing research with a small submarine (designed especially for the film!). Naturally, something that passes for a romance ensues and Julie tries to convince her new lover that the beast really exists after her own 'encounter' with the monster. Oh, by the way, it would be a result of the Bikini Atoll Program. Yes, nuclear testing at sea. You can pretty much count the number of seconds the monster is in view on two hands, unless you count the long shots of a flashing eye. Not that it's worth it, but honestly I wouldn't have expected much better from a Roger Corman cheapie.

Indeed a boring film in which little happens, some nice underwater scenes and a nice lady, but that does not make a good film.
