News from Home plot
In this plotless film, images of life in New York are mixed with the voice-over of the filmmaker who reads from letters from her mother. Many personal fragments are reviewed: quarrels, divorces, pregnancies and other matters are discussed. Typically for female adults, the letters contain a lot of drama for such seemingly minor events as life goes on as usual in this normal day in America.
