The Ascent plot

The Italian prisoner of war Distassi is held captive by the British. Like all inmates, he jokes about camp commander David Farrell, who tries time and again to climb Mount Kenya, but fails every time. Distassi climbs up himself to plant the Italian flag on top and give the British a good laugh.
