Director Michael Rock clearly put this together with great pleasure, but unfortunately, the passion is lacking. I Hate Found Footage imposes an interesting combination of Muppets-like characters and a FF aspect, but fails to present this in an exciting, comedic, or innovative way. In fact, Rock mainly creates an impression of simplicity, in which two puppets spend half an hour mostly talking to themselves and are supposed to sell that as a kind of humor. The practical effects look cheap and the acting of the human co-stars is substandard, but the unique premise still manages to hold some interest. That and a very short running time are unfortunately the only positive points.
