Il Leone di San Marco plot

Turkish pirates plunder the Adriatic coast. The buccaneers eventually incur the wrath of Manrico Venier during a ball celebrating the union between two European families through the marriage of Manrico to the Venetian beauty Isabella Fieshi. From that moment on, Manrico disguises himself as the 'Lion of Saint Mark', a masked hero who protects the oppressed from the plundering pirates.
