Met Oprechte Deelneming plot
When Eli (22) loses her father, her grandmother Winnie (76) loses her son. Overwhelmed by grief and frustrated that even her best friend doesn't understand how she feels, Eli—to her own surprise as well—gets on a bus with Winnie on a senior group trip. Hoping she can share her grief with her grandmother, she accepts those traveling companions. But how do you grieve when you're 22? And what are you supposed to do as a Gen-Zer among the Boomers?

At times, the generations are nicely juxtaposed, but the film fails to truly step outside the clichés, and it has too little to offer to keep the meager 86 minutes truly engaging. 2.5*.

After the death of her father [Carlo Scheldwacht], 22-year-old Eli [Tara Hetharia] takes his place on the bus trip he had planned with his Indonesian mother [Nel Lekatompessy]. Lekatompessy is excellent as the mother, but Hetharia portrays the generation gap too heavily and evokes little sympathy. Screenwriter Peter condemned the supporting cast (including Raymond Thiry, Michiel Kerbosch, and Tamar Baruch) to stereotypes that you encounter all too often in this type of road movie.
