Dorothy is in a clinic and is plagued by terrifying nightmares. With the help of the staff, Dorothy tries to discover the cause of the nightmares. The premise is a good one, and the acting isn't entirely bad, but this reworking of the classic film story has precious little to offer. The final approaches and twists are certainly a complete failure; they all feel incredibly forced and disingenuous. As if, with all their might, there should have been an unexpected element in the story, which then becomes very noticeable. Furthermore, after the opening, director Louisa Warren no longer focuses on visually striking images, and neither tension nor atmosphere is lacking. In fact, The Dead Walk is often quite boring, as it constantly chooses the simple, easy path.
