Loverboy: Vertrouw Niemand plot

Former loverboy Terra is trying to rebuild his life after serving a prison sentence when he's approached by the police for a risky deal. If he infiltrates a dangerous human trafficking ring and rescues four missing girls, he'll not only be given the chance for a fresh start but also regain custody of his daughter. During his mission, he becomes entangled in the dark world of lovergirl Nina, a woman who manipulates and controls young women. As the line between good and evil blurs, Terra must choose: will he remain a player in this dangerous game, or will he do everything he can to save lives?

I'm at home recovering from surgery, I need to go for a walk, and the cinema isn't far, so what do you do then?

Going to the cinema occasionally; saw this film this afternoon. Sidenote: I knew part 1 but didn't see it due to lack of time and the audience this film attracts, because there were loitering teenagers in the audience again this time.

To get back to the film, it is a good film, but I expected it to be more intense given the reputation of part 1.

The story moves at a fast pace and leaves little to the imagination. However, I didn't think the acting performances were all that great, and it felt like it had to be wrapped up rather quickly. A nice message, though, with mediocre execution.

*3.0

This sequel has its heart in the right place (at the end, there is another clip in which Guds addresses the audience regarding a foundation that stands up for victims), but that doesn't make it a good film. Some aspects came across as rather implausible and amateurish. The first part suffered less from this, but this sequel certainly does. The ease with which Guds is constantly believed just didn't sit well with me. There are a few harsher scenes, although the horror mostly stays off-screen. The film is nice and short, but the story suffers because they have to keep it brief. 1.5*.
