Fiego and the Magic Fish plot

Fiego finds himself lagging behind the other villagers in his role as breadwinner. He complains about his meager catches and small house. When he accidentally catches a magical fish that grants endless wishes, the path to a dream life seems to open up for him and his wife. But Fiego soon discovers that true happiness can be found elsewhere.

Beautifully drawn, but otherwise a somewhat cliché story. Although it does offer a nice moral. Animator Joe Murray moved from America to Belgium a few years ago, and this film was presented at the Leuven Short Film Festival.
