Fackham Hall plot

Smooth-talking pickpocket Eric Noone is offered a job at a country estate. While his career is flourishing, he begins a forbidden relationship with Rose Davenport, the lady of the house. However, when a murder occurs, Eric becomes the prime suspect. It's up to him to prove his innocence.

A grim parody of Downton Abbey, in which 23-year-old aristocratic Rose Davenport [Thomasin McKenzie] is pressured by her parents [Damian Lewis, Katherine Waterston] to marry the self-absorbed Archibald [Tom Felton] to save Fackham Hall and the family name. But Rose is more interested in Eric Noone [Ben Radcliffe], the newest member of the household. A murder increases the mutual distrust between the Davenports and their staff. The title and the family motto, "Incestus Ad Infinitum," are indicative of the general level of humor. There are a few good jokes, McKenzie holds her own, and Anna Maxwell Martin excels as the rigid Mrs. McAllister.
