Final Recovery plot

Rodney Garrett returns to treatment, hoping to recover from his addiction. He checks himself into the Sage Treatment Facility. But he soon uncovers a dark conspiracy led by the sinister Nanny Lou. While he recovers, fellow patients disappear, prompting him on a new mission: exposing the prison his addiction has built around him.

A very dull horror film with an intriguing premise at its core, which is unfortunately executed in the most bare-bones way. Endlessly long portions of Final Recovery are devoted to dialogue scenes between poorly acting characters, which makes for a rather tiresome respite after the violent opening. Director Harley Wallen tries every possible way to create a sense of depth, but everything is utterly lost in the uninteresting mystery, the drab visuals, and the predictable characters. Towards the end, there's some thrilling action; unfortunately, you'll have to wait a very long time for it.
