This documentary follows Israeli actress Noam Shuster Eliassi as she writes her one-woman show, which explores the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. As a peace activist, she attempts to connect her political beliefs, her heritage, and her identity in a deeply divided society. Coexistence, My Ass! explores the power of humor as a tool of resistance.

Noam Shuster-Eliassi grew up in Neve Shalom, a settlement in Israel where Palestinians and Israelis chose to live together. As a result, she speaks fluent Hebrew and Arabic and appeared in reports with Hillary Clinton and Jane Fonda at a young age. As a young woman, she started working at the UN to spread her message, but she became frustrated by the lack of progress. By chance, she discovered that she had much more impact with humor (and social media), which is why she now packages her message in a successful career as a stand-up comedian. Naturally, it is full of humor and hope, but current developments are changing that. And these are forcing Shuster-Eliassi to seriously re-examine her ideals.
