De Wolkenfietsers - Erfenis van een Droom plot

After the sudden death of Rudi van de Wint, his sons Ruud and Gijs inherit the unfinished artwork De Nollen, a lyrical inland dune area near Den Helder where landscape, sculpture, architecture, and painting merge. The brothers worked with great dedication to perfecting this total work of art. But as plans for a public museum became more concrete, cracks began to appear in their carefully constructed idyllic existence. As ambitions grew, so did tension. Ruud clung to the artistic intimacy of De Nollen, while Gijs saw the museum as a tribute to their father and a buffer against decay.

The musings of Ruud and Gijs van de Wind, who want to preserve the life's work of their father, Reindert/Rudi, a unique landscape artist who died in 2006. But how can they give work that defies convention and tradition a place in the Dutch museum landscape without compromising the creator's integrity? The premise is interesting for art lovers and the art world, but it's hard to shake the impression that this is primarily a promotional piece.
