What they call a 'small' French film, which meanders along pleasantly without too many 'big' events or emotions. A mother, her two sons, and her lover are spending a few weeks on vacation at her former in-laws' house on the Côte d'Azur, without them knowing. You already know that won't end well. A nice trip to the beach, a bit of partying, a fight with a neighbor, the sort. But on the other hand, very little happens, and the characters and their backgrounds are barely fleshed out. The camerawork, close to the people, didn't appeal to me either. Yet, I wasn't bored by this film.
