A gripping story in which the roles of the two sisters are portrayed exceptionally well, especially Jessie's. The story begins as abruptly as it ends. The mystery/thriller genre largely escapes me, although a certain tension is built up. Drama would be a better description, though. In any case, it's a beautiful and captivating film that could easily be based on a true story.

Powerful drama. The story is true to life. The execution is well-executed. The film does indeed begin as abruptly as it ends. But that's not a problem. The focus is on the sisters during the process of hiding their mother. Their relationship and struggles, both among themselves and with those around them, are beautifully depicted. There are also occasional laughs and tears. Despite the drama, the film sometimes feels like a feel-good movie. It's a shame that the ending doesn't quite have the emotional impact you'd initially expect. The acting is excellent, especially from the two sisters. Recommended. 4.0/4.5
