In November 2018, a wildfire rages in Butty County, California. Kevin McCay, a school bus driver, is caught in the wildfire along with a teacher and 23 children. He must navigate the hellish danger to save himself and the children.

A decent film about a wildfire that spreads rapidly and threatens a small town. A fairly standard disaster film based on a true story. A good first half that clearly demonstrates the enormous scale of the fire. The second half feels rather overdramatized (especially for a Paul Greengrass film). Entertaining, but 3.5 stars would be a bit much.

Standard disaster movie, nothing special, but enjoyable to watch. Although I do find it a bit long; it could have been half an hour shorter. Strong performance by McConaughey, who's certainly not my favorite actor...
