When Brian, Jason, Jules and Kieran were labelled as ‘autistic’ or ‘disabled’ in their youth, they lost a great deal of self-confidence. In the meantime, they have grown up and now, in their twenties, they are at a crossroads in their lives: what future lies ahead of them? Will they find independence, a job, a partner and happiness? Over the course of ten years, the young people have actively collaborated on this intimate portrait, which celebrates the resilience and individuality of these young people.

Four young men joined forces for a period of years to document that you can lead a fulfilling life even with an autism spectrum diagnosis. They have grown (literally and figuratively) from teenagers into young adult men and have much to offer. It debunks persistent stereotypes surrounding autism, but shows very little of how autism hinders them in certain situations.
