Monica Miller, an emergency room nurse in Boston, has thrown herself into her work. She hasn’t taken a vacation in four years to get a handle on her life and advance her career. When Monica doesn’t get the promotion she expected, both her new boss and her mother encourage her to find a better work-life balance by taking a vacation. Her mother suggests she make the pilgrimage to the Camino de Santiago, where her parents met. So Monica must learn to let go of her control and graciously accept help in order to experience all that the Camino has to offer.
