In 1999, Afghan Roya Mahboob [Nikohl Boosheri] makes a radical decision by dedicating himself to coaching a group of ambitious girls to participate in international robotics competitions. The team is under constant pressure from serious threats from within and the growing power of the Taliban, which bans girls' education.
