Goonland plot
Popeye sails to Goon Island in search of his daddy. He finds the place populated by the imposing but ugly Goons and a sign that says “no people allowed.” His captive daddy ignores him at first, but when Popeye is captured and carried away by the Goons, his can of spinach ends up with daddy, and it works just as well on him as it does on Popeye.

Although the animation is quite dated, I still quite enjoyed it. The Goons' concept is quite funny. If I look further into the Goons' origins, they're said to have been inspired by aliens and were originally even called Moon Goons. It also has a certain primitive tribal feel, but visually it's so different that thankfully it's not a bad parody. Goonland has enough adventure to make it a bit better than you might expect.
