Lifeless, amateurish garbage with a sort-of story and a bunch of idiotic characters. Director and star Nelson J. Davis doesn't do much more than portray a poorly decorated house in which various wacky characters do their own thing. There's no real plot, just a half-baked idea and a bunch of jokes that completely miss the mark. Without even a shred of atmosphere or quirk, Halloween Kickback quickly descends into tiresome scenes that move along excruciatingly slowly. The film doesn't really end, which is fitting for this empty-headed project with noticeably little passion or direction. It's miserable to sit through.
