"Dante’s Inferno… but tropical."
Babel is a nightclub where several characters meet La Flaca – the personification of death. Mortals gamble years of their lives in an attempt to outwit her. We meet Dante, who is trying to unravel the secrets of his past before his contract with La Flaca expires; Monet, who is trying to get his body back before it decomposes; Timbí and Uma, in an attempt to save their beloved family members; and Jacob, conflicted on the eve of his first performance as a drag artist.

A talking salamander, a dead soldier [Felipe Aguilar Rodriguez] seeking reincarnation, and a stigmatized preacher's son [Wiliam Hurdato] feature in this visually impressive yet bluntly constructed black comedy. Set in an extravagant nightclub and filled with religious references and other bizarre antics, it's hard to make sense of it all. Beautiful graphics, mediocre content.
