Books & Drinks plot

David, a charismatic New York bookseller, receives an unexpected inheritance: a beautiful mansion in the Dominican Republic. Determined to sell the house quickly and return to his hectic life in Brooklyn, he sets off for the sunny island. There he meets the sparkling real estate agent Maria, who turns his world upside down. While Maria helps him sell the mansion, David discovers more about the father he never really knew. He befriends the house staff and begins to unravel his father's rich history. But when his fiancée Rachel suddenly shows up, everything threatens to turn into chaos. David is faced with a choice: does he stay true to his old life or does he follow his heart and the adventure with Maria?
