Breakup Season plot
Ben and Cassie head to Ben's family home in rural Oregon for Christmas. While the two initially seem to have a comfortable relationship, it quickly becomes apparent that Cassie has one feeling about the relationship and Ben another. Misunderstandings and miscommunications culminate in Cassie telling Ben that she thinks it's best if the two break up and that she's going home the next day. Unfortunately for Cassie, a snowstorm and roadblocks prevent her from leaving, and she must spend the rest of Christmas week with her ex-boyfriend and his family.

Ben [Chandler Riggs] is overjoyed to introduce his girlfriend Cassie [Samantha Isler] to his family for Christmas. Unexpectedly, Cassie decides to end the relationship and spend Christmas with her own family. Heavy snowfall makes that impossible and she is forced to spend Christmas with the family of her ex-boyfriend, who is also unable to accept the end of the relationship. This touching romantic drama about dealing with your first great love avoids all Christmas clichés thanks to authentic characters. Carly Stewart steals the film as Ben's younger sister (and avid vlogger) Liz, who also has insecurities about her first boyfriend.
