Eindeloos Gepest: Het Verhaal van Nora, Tren en Anne-Ruth (2024)

Third documentary from the KRO/NCRV series 'Eindeloos Gepest' and the first about young adults who look back on a period in their lives in which they were structurally and seriously bullied (for various reasons). Susan Leurs makes portraits of people with a history of bullying "as long as bullying has been going on". Noor (18) was bullied at primary school because of her interests and her compliance. Anne-Ruth (20) was the target of ridicule because of her weight and for Tren (24) it started because of a birthmark on his face. Hiding school supplies, scrawling insults all over notebooks, wetting clothes in the locker room, damaging or destroying bicycles are examples of what they experienced as children. The simple fact that Noor, Anne-Ruth and Tren have survived this period (literally and figuratively) gives this an added value compared to the previous films, also because they have come out of the deep valley in which they ended up because of the bullying in their own way. It gives a deeper insight into the consequences of bullying, but also shows that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
