As the first in the Dutch Kingdom to openly express what it means to be queer and Caribbean through his art, Felix de Rooy addresses sensitive issues. Despite the relevance and artistic value of his works, he is not accepted into the white art world. This documentary confronts you with the unpredictability of life, when Felix suffers a stroke.

The 70-year-old Curaçaoan visual artist and film director Felix de Rooy is preparing for the exhibition 'Apocalypse' in the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. With his sister Marguerite, life partner Norman de Palm and several friends and colleagues, De Rooy looks back on his productive career now that he has reached a point where he is thinking about what should happen to his work and his own art collection after his death. A conventional documentary about a man who was far ahead of his time as an artist and whose significance for the Antillean and LGBTI communities only seems to grow.
