Perang Kota plot
Shortly after the end of World War II in present-day Jakarta, former soldier Isa works as a school teacher. He is married to Fatimah, with whom he raises their adopted son. The city they live in is in total chaos and the inhabitants have been abandoned by their president. Isa, together with his good friend Hazil, is involved in the revolution and devises a plan to blow up the cinema, the meeting place for the British and Dutch East Indies administration. In doing so, they target a prominent Dutch civil servant.

Starts with a cheaply and amateurishly filmed skirmish in a remarkably quiet Jakarta and ends with the attack that main characters Isa [Chicco Jerikho] and Hazil [Jerome Kurnia] prepare for in the intervening 100 minutes. Incidentally, that preparation mainly consists of sex with Fatimah [Ariel Tatum] and/or Mayang [Imelda Therinne], smoking tobacco or more mind-altering substances, playing the piano or violin and hanging around in a remarkably empty grand café. A soporific and (therefore) almost unwatchable fiasco.
