An no Koto plot

An was born and raised in a dysfunctional family. She was abused by her own family and became addicted to drugs. She finds hope by meeting warm people, such as a detective and a magazine journalist. An is touched by their unconditional kindness and slowly opens her mind to them. But just when she sees a glimmer of hope in her life, she is once again hit by the cold, cruel reality of her life.
