Life with Tom plot
There's mail. Nothing for Tom, but Tom finds a package in Jerry's box. Inside is a book, "Living with Tom" by Jerry Muis. As Tom flips through the chapters and hears first a radio audience, then a group of alley cats, then Spike and Tyke, all laughing at the book, the clips from previous shows are shown that have everyone laughing.

Many long-running animated series occasionally release a compilation, and Tom & Jerry is no exception. We get three clips from earlier short films. The idea of a common thread running through those films is well thought out, but it really amounts to nothing more than an episode of old material.
