Zoo Station: The Story of Christiane F. plot
The German Christiane Felscherinow (1962) is better known to the general public as Christiane F. Under that name she was featured as a fifteen-year-old in the biographical bestseller "Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo" (1978). Felscherinow, who comes from a middle-class family in Berlin's new-build Gropiusstadt district, got into drugs at the age of 12 and spent her days with other addicts around the Zoologischer Garten metro station, where she offered her body for money. In this documentary, director Claire Laborey sketches the spirit of the times in which the Christiane F. phenomenon emerged.
