A few years ago, director Danishka Esterhazy always came up with entertaining entertainment on a budget, but with Killer Body Count she delivers her worst work to date. It is an uninspired and slightly satirical slasher with little sharpness and a particularly drawn-out running time. The acting is fortunately good and the murders are nice and crude (despite the fact that it is often shot mediocrely or from a distance), but it all takes far too long and fails to pick up in the second half. Esterhazy is definitely in the right place within the horror genre, but would do better to work with more fun or to seek out originality. This type of work suits her significantly less well.

Weak horror film. The story is cringeworthy and the execution is variable but certainly not sufficient. There is some build-up but soon they move on to the so-called horror. What follows is a bad mix of Friday the 13th and Scream. Towards the end the level drops even further with a ridiculous twist. The weak acting does not really contribute to the level. Visually it could be worse. Keep away! 1.5/2.0
