Don is ordered by the mafia to get rid of Phyllis. Once the moment comes, Don appears unable to pull the trigger. Phyllis then proposes to work together and steal the money from those who wish her dead. It marks the start of a road trip.

The idea is just perfect, but making it a drama/comedy might not have been the best choice, because it doesn't really work as a drama, and for a comedy it's just not funny enough - we often see that this combination isn't self-evident.
Coon and Whigham are adequate in the leading roles, but not really brilliant or anything. And the supporting roles are actually just too thin, with Glenn Fleshler's Arms as an easy example. With his physique, you could have made a convincingly menacing uber-final boss bad guy without too much effort. Was it then a choice of the director to make something hesitant and ambiguous out of it? Not really a happy choice there either.
