Amityville Ripper plot

The gothic Marianne wakes up because her brother Nicols wakes her up. He reminds her that their parents are on vacation and that he is having a party tonight. That doesn't sit well with her, because she had something decidedly planned with Annie. It doesn't take long before the first guests arrive. But Marianne and Annie plan to hold a séance with one of the artifacts from the Amityville house, the knife used by Jack the Ripper.

For a change, a director shows up who doesn't take his Amityville movie seriously, but I think it was for Bobby Canipe Jr. mainly an excuse to justify his poor commitment. Many interested parties will also have to know that Jack the Ripper is only on screen for 10 minutes and does little other than talk banal nonsense and commit off-screen murders. The (literal) decoration and the visual surface look third-hand and the acting is below par, but the fact that the film regularly breaks the fourth wall creates some unpredictability. There is a strong feeling that the makers would have preferred to make something with aliens, because the action is regularly interrupted for a joke about the extraterrestrial.
