Los Tonos Mayores plot

Fourteen-year-old Ana lives in Buenos Aires with her father Javier, an artist and teacher. After an accident she has a metal plate in her arm. During the winter holidays, Ana suddenly starts to feel mysterious pulses in the plate. Without saying anything to Javier, she works with her friend Lepa to compose a melody inspired by the rhythmic signals. One night, an argument with Lepa leads Ana to wander the city alone. A chance meeting with a young soldier reveals the true nature of the pulses.

Charming and modest Argentinean magical realistic drama. About Ana who has strange pulses in her arm. The search for the origin and meaning is quite interesting, although it never really becomes exciting or mysterious. This is because of the drama and relational tensions that are well developed. I think the young cast plays very strongly. But you have to be in the mood for deep conversations and dreamy scenes that hang between fantasy and reality. In any case, I had a great time with this film.
