"Money is printed freedom."
In the year 1990, chaos reigns after the end of the German Democratic Republic. A group of East Germans uses this opportunity to steal millions hidden in an underground vault. The theft takes an unexpected turn when they come across the East German mark, money that has recently no longer been recognized as legal tender in the country.

Mediocre film. Acting performances are not all that great, but also not possible due to a crazy script, which makes all the motives of the characters completely unclear. Rarely seen a film where I thought better casting would have helped. It is even crazier to see Sandra Hüller in such a film, right after she has won awards for other films. The funniest moment is a scene in which she is learning French (or at least her character), which she can of course do more than well.
