The Heirloom plot

With a long, (somewhat too) quiet winter ahead, filmmaker Eric, who is struggling with writer's block, and his girlfriend Allie decide to get a dog. After much research and discussion, the choice of the modern couple - vegan, ethical, millennial, neurotic - falls on stray dog Milly from the Dominican Republic. This family expansion leads to a chaos of new challenges.
